| Razer copperhead is all you need, 2000dpi fb software which you don't need, just install it save the setting and uninstall it, the mouse has onboard memory.
Ebuyer or ebay probably your best bet even play and amazon have them, I’ve had mine about a year I love it, better than that G5 rubbish I had.

All I use it for is gaming, surfing the internet and storing my photo's on. The monitor is new, only bought it about 1 month ago.
What I'd like to know is do I upgrade it, or spend out on a new PC? The thing is I'm not very good with computers, so I don't know what I should be getting. So I have a budget of about £1000 how could I upgrade it, with what specific components, or what machine should I buy?
Thanks for your help.

With that spare cash, I'd keep the desktop and get a laptop.

well tbh if you want to upgrade it all that really needs doing is a graphics card. If your talking about a serious upgrade then its worth just getting a new one for that cash.

Well I got my x1950xt yesterday and I have an issue. The damn thing is so big not only did I have to move a hard-disk but the cooler also pokes out of the top of my htpc case. I've currently got the cover off and it's fairly well hidden on a shelf but I'm not too happy about it being like that.
I've been thinking of jig-sawing a hole in top so the fan can pop out - am I insane?
Furthermore, I bought a fancy new quiet CPU cooler which doesn't fit either because there is a brace type thing which doesn't appear to serve any purpose. Was thinking of hacking that out too.

| Thanks for the reply. Like I said I'm a complete noob when it comes to computers. What graphics card would be the best to get?
I have heard everyone talking about these core duo processors, are they that much quicker than what I have?
Thanks also Jason. I already have a laptop that I just use for FM07 (and 08 and Live when they come out).

Well the best GPU you can get right now is the nVidia 8800 Ultra which will cost over £500 - a bit much imo. You can pick up an 8800GTS 640mb for about £240 which, if you are really into games, is justifiable.
As for Core Duo's - they are intel CPUs with two CPU cores on one chip. A good one will be quite a lot more powerful than your current CPU. However, you'd need a new motherboard and possibly RAM (if your's isn't DDR2).

| dont touch the fan assembly its there for a reason. You can buy smaller replacement coolers for graphics cards so my advise is to try that route.

If your planning on sticking with xp then i recommend one of these or even 2 of them in SLI. With your current set up being very good then this will be a serious performance increase game wise. For what you have at the moment and what you are doing your processors fine. Dont worry about core2duos.
If you want to upgrade to vista then you'll need/want a directx10 card (all PC games out at the moment are directx9) http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/119982
something like that will handle any current PC game with no effort and will be ready for the new generation of games.

Rep Power: 40 | ah thought this was a dual core jobby. Although the core2dups out perform your processor if your wanting another couple of years out of it then i think* it will be fine for gaming
