At the moment, I have J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10, update 11, and update 9, each of which is taking up 120mb.

Right, so I had a lot of problems with my computer in this past week. Started with the Generic Host which controls the internet connection crashing every 5 minutes requiring a restart which lead me to reinstall Windows on Sunday. My first reinstallation worked except no mouse (PS2/USB) would work. So I did another reinstallation, which froze in the middle. I kept reinstalling and it froze and froze about 5 times in succession. I have now finally got an installation that works, mouse and everything, except:
1) When installing my printer it gets to the final screen of the "Add Hardware" thing that XP comes up with and says it failed because the "data is invalid."
2) My wireless USB mouse still doesn't work, same error as above.
3) When I click Microsoft Updates on my start menu, IE opens and it comes up with "Express" or "Custom" so I click custom as I always do and IE crashes. It does this every time, whether I click express or custom.
Anyone know how to solve any of these problems. Really p*ssing me off.

Oh yeah, and the Microsoft Updates problem means I can't get the .NET Frameworks which in turn mean I cannot install my ATI catalyst controller. 1024x768 sucks /o\

| Yeah, I have version 6, but I'd like a definite yes, you can uninstall the others! I would have thought that when installing new versions of it, it should uninstall the older ones tbh.

Go into Device Manager, see if you have all the drivers for the USB Controllers.
