They do yeah, I've seen them on my e-shop travels. Cool I'll look into that then, nice one.

HopOnBaby, you can get a better deal with deal tbh. Just ring the sales line up and bargain with them.

I personally wouldn't recommend using AVG as your AV. I believe it isn't as good as most of the pay AVs out there.
Remember to have an antispyware package too.
Windows Firewall is pretty good but doesn't monitor traffic.
I'd seriously suggest that you read up on different antivirus packages and see which ones take your interest.
Investigate further, then download a trial.
The most common ones I can think of are
Norton
Mcafee
Kapersky
Sophos
There are others that I haven't listed but that's enough to give you an initial idea.
| NOD32 too, for AV. They are bringing out a firewall, it is currently in Beta.

Airwolf - I have no doubt you're right, but I'm crap on phones anyway, let alone when it's something I only have a limited knowledge in!
Might be able to get the VAT off through some technical shenanigans and I think Gordon Brown's too busy at the moment to notice anyway.

The Dell one is a Pentium D processor, which is vastly inferior to a Core2Duo processor

Okay this is probably a bit of a weird computer hypothetical but since I'm in no financial position to buy a new laptop and my current laptop is performing pretty well but not excellently here's what I'm wondering...
Is it possible for me to connect my current (but not so much new) laptop (P4 3.06ghz, 60 GB HD, 512MB RAM) to my old laptop (obviously older and somewhat inferior spec-wise) in some way so as to enable the old laptop to somehow "boost" my current laptop with whatever capabilities it has as far as RAM, HD space & processing power it has?
I'm assuming that its a big fat no but I thought I'd ask.

Probably worthy of its own thread but the new Adaware 2007 is out.
Free version available HERE
Pretty essential software I'd say

Right gents, i know a bit about PCs but not enough to spend £190 on RAM so im asking for your advice. This is the RAM Crucial recomend and yes i want all 4 gig because im a greedy bastard.
My question is, is that a reasonable price or can i get better and/or cheaper else where?
Cheers

if your talking about that mesh system then the core2duo knocks spots of a pentium D. Try not to focus on clock speeds as a basis of performance. As for the graphics i agree with you however they are still better than the Intel GMA offered by the dell
