How should I know? It was you as stressed racial profiling, not me. I'd be profiling people with islamic names and people with islamic facial hair. Like the old days when I was profiled first for a skinhead and tattoos, then for long hair and beads.

The point is to highlight the central issue around racial profiling.

You could not possibly racially profile white people for such drastic action in Britain. They make up around 90% of the population and stripsearching and making their lives uncomfortable in Britain would be unworkable because not only would it be a colossal waste of time, the people doing it would also be of the very same group you are profiling.

They are the norm.

But you CAN racially profile and harass en masse a group like Islamic people, Chinese, African etc... because they are a smaller group who stand out against everyone else.

In short, they look "foreign" to the norm and you can quite easily sell the lazy idea that everybody of that group should suffer.

Xenophobia and racism makes that easy.
