Not really sure how much more exposure it could get than being employed by the team sitting at the top of the league, undefeated domestically this season, pushing a player who many considered wasn't up to the standard of the Premiership when deployed out wide into a situation where he is considered an integral part of his team. Manchester City arguably the most improved team in the league, with Elano being their best player by miles imo.
The fact the system is also being employed by two of the best tacticians in the league in Wenger and Eriksson surely also carries weight?
The Ronaldinho circus might bring alot of things to a club, but I'd say credibility to the AMC role wouldn't be high on any list really, as it would surely depend on if the team he joined could accommodate him in that position, whether the manager had the tactical nous to effectively employ a system such as that, had players to fill the other roles, etc......
Not listening, watching him. He's been not particularly good since March. I appreciate he has been incredibly good at times, and has undoubted talent, but worth £40m? No. And bearing in mind his apparent unwilingness to work hard to get into a team that plays such flowing football at Barca, does anyone really think he'll come to the Prem, knuckle down, get fit, and perform to his previous standard.
Hey, I'd love it to happen, just don't think it will. Trip to Italy more than likely in order, and then be outshone by Kaka, maybe.
you don't know that he's 'unwilling' to knuckle down though. if rumours are to be believed (haha, and i'm basing this on balague), the club don't want him and are trying to cash in.
if he got a move to a big premier league club with a top manager, a new challenge and all eyes on him (as let's be honest, messi has taken them from him over there), i'm positive he could get it back.
can see no reason why he'd be finished so young. just having a bad time. all this talk of spurs, boro and newcastle etc.. is crazy.
The last three times I've seen him he clearly can't be arsed. Getting embarrasing to the point where Messi keeps passing to him to try and help him out. For whatever reason, he hasn't been up to scratch for a while now. And I'm not convinced about the cashing in thing. The club's two main strikers are injured and he still doesn't get a start. Surely getting him out on the pitch the best way to get offers in?
We'll see anyway. Just can't see him coming here and getting back to what he was. Part of me hopes I'm proved wrong though.
adriano was never actually that good in the first place was he though? i don't know, never seen him play really.
he hasn't lost his ability, and he's still young enough to recover his fitness and form. he just needs a new challenge. i'd be genuinely amazed if we'd seen the last of him at a big club. wouldn't even be that suprised if he returned to triumphant form at barca. he's absolutely amazing.
