Not winning stages but there or theres about, hit the steep stuff tomorrow so gonna send my mountain goat off on a run, see if he can grab the stage. Lowest member of team is 21st, so would win the team title atm if there was one.

I have no idea. I tried 4 or 5 different times during the day and finally managed to log on 15-20 mins ago. Better late than never I guess

I may have got it wrong then, but it is still far too few, there are 21 in real life in each of the Grand Tours, counting the Prologue.

Elements of the game are good, but the whole package is poor.

Ok, recent update of my progress for anyone who is interested (if there are such people )

Busseto > Forli'

The sprint guy got points in both sprints - 2nd and 3rd place (9 teams)

The mountain guy got a fat 0.

In the overall standings after 2 races my best result is 4th - 25 secs of the leader, and 12, 13, 14 for the other non-mountain guys 1.28 down (out of 45).

The fitness levels are worrying though - down to 70% percent, and 65% for my sprinter.

The next race is a mountain race - so high effort for the mountain guy, mountain gear and minimum effort for the rest for me. Especially considering the next 2 races are a flat one, and the ITT.

Transfers - bought 2 guys

Quote:
Primary skills
Flat: 2 Downhill: 2
Hill: 1 Sprint: 2
Mountain: 2 Time trial: 3

Secondary skills
Steering: 17 Bravery: 8
Experience: 0 Leadership: 2
as a squad cyclist for 10K, and

Quote:
Primary skills
Flat: 5 Downhill: 0
Hill: 1 Sprint: 2
Mountain: 1 Time trial: 1

Secondary skills
Steering: 10 Bravery: 8
Experience: 1 Leadership: 1
As a one-day mostly flat races specialist for 66K

As to the posts above - I do agree the game is very far from perfect - but frankly speaking I wouldn't want this thread to die so fast

So anyone still playing - don't be shy, and share your thoughts or results

I've bought a guy with some decentish stats (2s and 3s all around) and I've entered my team for the 3 races in Catalunya. I want to see if the 5 blokes I entered are any good, or if I should invest heavily into buying new cyclists. If they do OK, I can look at hiring a scout or something like that.

This game, I agree, is a very basic cycling management simulation, so far. Still a work in progress though.

Keep in mind Catalunya is a very mountain based tour. So you're checking your mountain guys most of all...

In regards to a scout - it is worth to have one anyway, imo. He searches for youngsters each week, and I know a person who recently pulled a young 4-Sprint guy through his scout

My didn't find anyone last week though

Won my first stage of the Giro today with my mountain guy picking up the cash, fitness is starting to drop all around, so will be glad when the boost comes this weekend.

Hopefully can raise enough cash to afford a decent youth scout.
