| I love the new HSCS, possibly even more than the first.
Also, finally got around to the new(-ish) EitS the other day, sounded pretty good on first listen, no real surprises there but they're so good at what they do.
Looking forward to new Interpol + White Stripes, but other than that I don't think there's much on the horizon from bands I know, recommendations appreciated.
( last.fm here if anyone feels like helping me out on that front ) </BLOCKQUOTE>
the first track of the new EitS is amazing, but it's all downhill from there.

Jokes worn a bit thin now with Art Brut. The first album was refreshing but the second album shows that the well ran dry with it.
Yes, there are a couple of delightfully cheeky songs on It's A Bit Complicated but there's no depth to it and it just feels quite dull.
Listen to Von Südenfed instead.

| No, but then neither was Gimme Fiction as good as its predecessor Kill The Moonlight.

this is one case in which I wish I wasn't quite so smug. cleaning out my office atm to start in my new office tuesday morning. totally awesome but since the promotion was a surprise, my plans to try to relax a bit this week are shot.
memorial day weekend is also when a lot of wineries open around here so I may have to play tour guide for some friends on saturday and drive them around "the pacific northwest's burgundy".

Also: Ted Leo's new effort pales so much in comparison to their previous work. gr will be livid but I unfortunately speak the truth, however much I want to enjoy it.
