I've got all the Bloc Party tracks on CD from my brother, they were obviously leaked over the internet.

It's a fantastic album, perhaps better than the first.

I prefer the first one tbh, the first half of the new one is ruddy awesome but it doesn't keep up the pace towards the end.

off the top of my head:
Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Interpol, LCD Soundsystem, Architecture in Helsinki, Idlewild, The Rakes, Help She Can't Swim, Klaxons, Auf der Maur if she's ever going to actually release the thing (was originally announced for last quarter of 2005 :-/ ), Mando Diao (well that's already out, I just haven't bought it yet)

Nothing really but as i have just got into rock in the last year and a half after really just being a rap fan i am still enjoying getting reccomendations and getting old albums and seeing what i like and don't like.

threads like these are good for me.

I like Silent Alarm better than Weekend in the City as well, the new album has some decent tracks, but compared to SA it doesn't hold up well. I do understand that they're trying to mature their sound which they have done, but in my view, Silent Alarm is a better listen.
