I didn't like the pilot much, but it's grown on me since. Damian Lewis is awesome.

Doesn't hurt that Sarah Shahi and Brooke Langton are very easy on the eyes either. That despite Langton being old enough to be my mother, albeit a very young mother (I'm 21, she's 37).

While it would end the purpose of the search there are still ways for the show to go on. For one thing it might turn out that the Bank shooting and the murder setup are separate, or at least more separate than we think, leaving one of them for next season.

Even with those plotlines resolved there's still plenty to do. They're cops, there'll always be crimes to solve and I'm sure they could come up with new season-long arcs. Hell, even a procedural with Charlie Crews would be worth watching.

One final thing, the description of Dirty Sexy Money as the "filthiest show on TV"... that surely can't come from someone who's actually watched the show? Has to be from some promo monkeys who have only seen the title? It's not filthy, it's simply an entertaining show with a good mix of humour and drama. Also a rare example of a show with a child I can tolerate, and even like! The kid playing "Gustav"/Brian Jr. is great.

Chuck, Life and Journeyman all impressed me this year, felt only Bionic Woman really let NBC down, although I can understand their reluctance to push Journeyman, however infuriating their failure to accept the future of TV show viewing or the total inaccuracy of the Neilsens as a gauge of public opinion these days.

Hmm I really shouldn't go AFK while writing posts, just leads to pre-emptions.

And "... leaving one of them for next season" should be more like "...leaving one of them for the future", as assuming the writer's strike doesn't last much longer it'll still be season 1 when she show returns.

Writer's strike will last into the New Year at least, unless there is a minor miracle in negotiations, since they are around $100M apart in discussions, reportedly.

Told you all there would still be plenty to play with, such a fantastic show this. Knew it was Rachel the minute we saw her, it just made sense. Lewis was awesome, easily his best performance, the hole digging made me laugh so much. What's really brilliant is that, despite having alot of answers, we are only a little closer to finishing the huge jigsaw. And not just the stuff with Jack, Bobby's comments about IAD drag the whole department into it, depending on interpretation. Just so much awesomeness here, cannot wait for this to return.
