Update:
The pitch inspection currently going on
Here is the Duckworth-Lewis equation. If the match is restricted to 26 overs, India's revised target would be 201.

26 overs: 201 runs
27 overs: 207
28 overs: 212
29 overs: 218
30 overs: 223
31 overs: 228

didn't see any of it, but apparently clarke batted superbly yesterday, while, just as importantly, brad haddin continued to push gilchrist closer to retirement with his innings as well.

SL win the toss & bat first in the 1st ODI.

Swann comes in for Monty to bolster the fielding & batting (just as i suggested should happen only so dont let me down now ). Mustard also makes his ODI debut and theres no place for Dimitri (is he injured?).

Teams:

England 1 Alastair Cook, 2 Phil Mustard (wk), 3 Ian Bell, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Ravi Bopara, 6 Paul Collingwood (capt), 7 Owais Shah, 8 Graeme Swann, 9 Stuart Broad, 10 Ryan Sidebottom, 11 James Anderson.

Sri Lanka 1 Upul Tharanga, 2 Sanath Jayasuriya, 3 Kumar Sangakkara (wk), 4 Mahela Jayawardene (capt), 5 Chamara Silva, 6 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 7 Jehan Mubarak, 8 Farveez Maharoof, 9 Chaminda Vaas, 10 Lasith Malinga, 11 Dilhara Fernando.

in more interesting news, i guided my team home yesterday with an inspired 64*. putting on an unbeaten 108 run seventh wicket stand chasing a 'deceptively tricky' total of 199.

yes, we really were 6/92 at one point.
