Bresciano is back training with Palermo, but Sven-Goran Eriksson has refused to give up on him. It is understood that a deal could yet be struck if City offer 8 million euros up front.
"I hope the deal is still alive, but there were some problems," he said on Sky Sports News. "He was here and trained with us and is a very, very good player.
"In the end I hope that he ends up playing for us, but today is Thursday so it is difficult to do anything before the game against West Ham on Saturday.
"But I will welcome it if it happens."

Rules of the FF league would be:
Your team must consist of in the starting XI
- 1 City player from last season
- 1 City player brought through the Academy
- 1 City player bought in the summer
- 2 Ex City players
- No Red bastard Utd players
- Apart from City only 1 player from a team
Makes it more interesting
