Thanks for the answers. So if it is a movie that is generated after the game has run, does that mean the crazy things we see sometimes could just be the fault of the movie maker? If three of my defenders run away from the striker that could just be the actors messing up their lines, rather than exactly what happend?

It could. But the problem is that the 2d display is the only representation based on which you can change things around when it is not going well. But if the representation is wrong you have no clue about what the problem is.
