Ive jus downloaded a file that lets me retain all the players in the FM08 database when i start a new game. Can anyone where i should put this?
The files called 'retain_nations.ddt.txt'

I dont know if it shold appear as a check box option or jus load them all automatically

Firstly you have to remove the txt part of the filename otherwise FM will just ignore it when you put it in the right place which should be

program files/sports interactive/football manager 2008/data/db/800/edt

You will have to start a new game for anything in the ddt file to take effect though.

Where did you download this file from? You should probably scan it with a virus checker just in case.

I ran a check on the file with AVG & nothing bad showed up but feel free 2 check 4 urselves 1st

The file shows up as a check box in the 'extra files' tab on the side menu at the new game screen
