Hi all,

I'm quite new to this game - and for some reason I really like the idea of starting a new game with Leeds. Trying to return them up to the Premiership.

But, I'm just curious if anyone else has done the same and do they have any tips? Mainly cos I usually only do games with Arsenal so have never experienced 1) average playrs 2) money issues.

So basically, has anyone done well with Leeds? Tips for players etc? And, what do the money issues do to you??

I'm a Leeds fan and always start a game with Leeds. I waited for the patch and there started my game, starting with -15 points is a bit demanding and so are the board expectations. I was expected to get to the fourth round of the FACUP even though I had Newcastle away in the 3rd round, got beaten 1-0 and was slated by the board for not meeting expectations.

As for money stick to loaning young players for very little wages and try and get rid of the older players still on high wages. One great signing is David McGoldrick from Southampton, he starts off on loan at Port Vale but in January I managed to get him on loan from Southampton and he bagged 21 goals in 24 games.

Unfortunately at the end of my first season I lost the play off final to a mediocre Northampton side but finances are high (as i stayed within the budgets) so now I have 3 million to spend for the coming season. Hopeful of promotion.

I'm not a Leeds fan, but have a few friends who are. As a result I thought I'd try the challenge.

When I don't have a go at a PL team, I usually try a "sleeping giant" to see if I can get them back where they think they belong

I'm only in season 1, but have managed to get into the play-off places with about 8 games to go.

Yeh, money is tight, and like others, I've had to loose one of two bigger names on high wages who weren't performing... you can't be too charitable in the lower leagues it seems.

I'm currently playing as Leeds and apart from the totally unrealistic board/ supporter expectations, it's quite enjoyable.

I've got them up to 8th and in the 4th round of the cup (mid January), but the board still think I should be performing better.

i dont see whats wrong with expectations . most of them expect avoiding reliagations .. due -15 first seasons.. same in second if you get promoted

finished in 2nd position in first season. doing crappy in second ;(

Won the PL last 2 seasons with them

The first season seems to be utterly random. My first attempted resulted in me not scoring a point in the first 7 games. When I started again I ended up winning the league, and then promoted from Championship in second season.

If you get the team playing well it is very easy. I barely signed anyone in the first season and got a few loans in the second.
