Jedclough's 70's thread got me thinking about editing the database to include loads of the great players from the past.

No problem getting info or remembering players like Best, Maradona and Pele but I need your help in compiling a great list of players.

Can people suggest players and give basic information

Name - Nation - First club - Position

I will give them a PA of -9 or -10 and put them in the database as 13 year olds at their first club - interested to see what happens.

I tried searching for football legends and came up with one site that gave me Frank McLintock and Neil Ruddock!

Relating tot he link for the video, what sre the people in the corner doing?

Agreed though, I think Pele was the best player evet to live, and some of the things on the video he pulls off are outstanding. Its a  from me

The people in the corner are people from a brazilian TV program which depicts Pelé's life. They explain how they felt when they met Pelé on the field and how that just couldn't do anything.

One of them says: "He played the ball of my chest to pass back to himself, I was stunned. We always feared what Pelé might do when he came running"

As you can see Pele didn't need to keep the ball xD he'd play it to the opposition to use to his advantage. Dribbing attribute = 40 xD

I put a few players in as 18 year olds at their first clubs tihnk i had the following

Pele
Maradona
Carlos Alberto
Garrincha
Jairzinho
Franco Baresi
Alan Shearer
Dixie Dean
Ferenc Puskas
Alfredo Di Stefano
Eric Cantona
Duncan Edwards
Jim Montgomery
Gianluca Vialli
Fabrizio Ravenelli
Gabriel Batistuta
Stuart Pearce
Hagi

Also put in Stan Collymore with a good potential and rubbish mental stats as i always liked him as a player but but he was a jackass.

Dixie Dean just moved to AC Milan for 20 million and Maradona went to Sevilla for 250k and just moved to Juventus in a 22 million pound deal. Its quite good but time consuming adding them in. I know it doesn't matter but its the player height and weight that i find hardest to find.

The only things I am entering is Nationality & Position - CA/PA will automatically generate good stats (hopefully) - I need first club too like Cantona = Auxerre

I always found first clubs on wikpedia.org. I never though of just entering the Ca and PA let me know how that works out could be alot easier than trying to do all the stats like i did.
