Anyone able to advise on a decent meeting place near Alexandra Palace?
Meeting a few different people there on Saturday afternoon. Bit further out of town that I was expecting, no idea why as I had no prior knowledge of the venue. Anyway, anyone from around that area know of a decent watering hole or two?

Wood Green, on the Piccadilly Line, is the nearest London Underground Station. It connects via King’s Cross to the Circle Line on which main British Rail Stations are located. Journey time from Piccadilly Circus, for example, is 20 minutes. The frequent W3 bus service runs from just outside Wood Green Station to the Palace entrance.

Alex Palace - go to Wood green , come out the station and your at a crossroads , there is a bar at the crossroads , and next to the bar , there is a road , down that road is free curtoesy buses. All W3 buses go up there for free too .
Went a few weeks ago and getting back was nice and easy , back on the tube in 25 minutes.

Nearest tube is indeed Wood Green, you can walk it up the hill from there in 15mins ish. W3 bus is easy enough though.
There's a Spoons, a Yates and a pub called The Goose all at the same junction as Wood Green station. None are especially dazzling, it is Wood Green after all...

Legend has it you can get four pints at The Goose and have change from a fiver.
Kind of puts me off really. If that doesn't, the look of it will.

Cheers guys. It needs to be around Wood Green as a couple of mates have a match near there, so they won't want to move a few stops down the tube and them have to come back again for the gig. Spoons, Yates or Goose it is.
