Exactly. While footballers might earn more in a week than some of us do in a year, I'd still be pretty ****ed to be told that I wasn't going to get paid for two weeks just for missing two sitters.

2 weeks wages are usually, in the real football world, fines for things like unacceptable behavior off the pitch, like Joey Barton trying to put out a cigar in that youth player's eye, or extreme violence on the pitch, like headbutting the referee or something.

Not for one poor performance.

I've never fined a player for poor performance.

If it's bad enough to get a fine, then at an earlier point it's been bad enough to get himself dropped.

The harshest I've been is after two shockers in a row, a major first team player was dropped, transfer arranged for the next window, and never played for the club again. And he was a key player in the side.

Stilll didn't fine him though.

Perhaps I just don't care about money as much as everyone else, but if I were earning tens of thousands a week I wouldn't be particularly bothered about losing a couple weeks wage. But then when I have to work hard all year for what a footballer earns in a week, I actually appreciate the value of money.

I strongly believe footballers should receive more fines. Especially the England squad. They should all get fined for poor performance. Maybe taking money away from them is the only thing they would understand.

An as far Tevez being like this in real life... He seems like a nice guy, very likable from what I can tell. I like him anyway.

I respect a good disciplinarian being in charge of a football team. I understand the ideals keeping the players on a short leash and running the club with an iron fist, but this instance is a little bit psychotic.

Can you imaging Fergie or Arsene fining their players for a sub-par performance? It wouldn't happen, they would have more sense.

I don't judge Tevez for being angry, I do however judge him for not taking a swing at you.

Managers like Ferguson pick and choose their fights, i.e Beckham, RVN, Stam.
