Seems a bit silly from Roma's POV. Good money or not if they want to challenge for teh Scudetto then they can't be selling players like Chivu to Inter.

Juan is noway near as good.

But Chivu can be injury prone.

His contract was up next season; Roma right to cash in on the player. Especially as he can be injury prone and doesn't, on account of his troubles in the past, have too long a career left.

Napoli have signed the "New Maradona" in Eziquiel Lavezzi, and are building up rather nicely for maybe challenging for a UEFA Cup/Intertoto place if all goes well.

Any notions on whether anyone is going to take a chance on bringing Cassano back from Madrid in the near future?

I know Napoli were suggested as a possible destination but that was a while back. I know he's a tool but surely someone thinks they can tame him?

Milan and Napoli probably, although other teams are looking at him.

tbf valeri was shocking in a lower division and seems to have complained a lot. getting freddie would be a treat so far.
