I'm surprised that with Vieira, Cambiasso and Dacourt in the mix they'd consider another top-level defensive centre-mid to be a priority in all honesty.

I'm assuming such a deal would be very contingent on whether Capello stays or not?

I would say the chances of Adriano staying are about 60/40. It's true that he is not best buddies with Mancini and some squad members, but he still has a place in the hearts of members of the board. If he is traded in, it is more likely going to be to a Spanish club. I suspect he won't be sold for a stupid fee, tbh, as his form has not been great over the last two seasons, compared to when he was as hot as toast.

Don't expect Choutos and Recoba to stay though. In fact, Choutos may have already left (can't remember for sure).

As for Samp - making some decent moves, tbh. Caracciolo has a lot to prove and never really settled at Palermo. Before that, he was considered the next big thing, in much the same way as Quag is. It's worth turning your back on Flachi now tbh. He has been away with the fairies for a season and a half now.

Obviously with a lack of access to Serie A football last season I'm somewhat in the dark on this but has Fabio Grosso's move to Lyon not come right out of the blue? Or did he not really feature a whole lot last season and moving to Lyon as Abidal's replacement will allow him to play more often?

Ibrahim Ba did absolutely nothing for us. I remember him scoring a brilliant 35-yard volley in a friendly though.

So with Barca looking to secure Milito (which I'm guessing will be secured after the end of the Copa America) & Real picking up Pepe from Porto, Inter have Chivu all to themselves now right?
