| My point was that regardless of the situation, murder is murder, and no matter how different each crime were, surely that should play on the mind of any person who chose to start a family with them.

| Still don’t agree with you, but she’s been to prison herself so there’s already some link between them.

Because I consider their judgement suspect. A mothers natural instinct is generally to want to protect their children, to want to seek out potential fathers who would provide for them and support them.
Therefore, i'd seriously question the judgement of women who would choose somebody capable of such an atrocious crime, to the extent where i'd believe that there must be something psychologicaly wrong with her.
| How do you know the guy wasn't sent down for murdering someone who threatened his children? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Your point being that he showed the ability to protect his children?
I'd suggest that it would be an incredibly unstable person who thought "he'll kill anybody who tries to hurt our kids". </BLOCKQUOTE>
He didn't do a good job of protecting them if he now needs some more?

these threads are great. you have your knuckle draggers who want every naughty boy alive beheaded, versus the guys who apparently love murderers and kiddy fiddlers to show how open minded and 'with' human rights they are.
as you were.
p.s. my opinion on the matter is very much, 'not arsed'.

I don't care either way, just so long as they pay for the treatment themselves.

| Well she was 43 when they first made the request. That's quite old, but not too old. Plenty of women have kids naturally in their late thirties (And some even later).
51 is too old though IMO.

If he was in a lower category nick, cracking one off would constitute a breach of prison rules. So he'd be stuffed. Odd that, eh?
