Would people's reactions be any different if this were Ian Huntley wishing to do this?

I'd still think he was a total arsehole, but you can't deny one individual his rights purely on the basis of being more emotionally involved with his crimes. I doubt any woman would be sane enough to want it frankly.

| I'd personally question the sanity of any woman to want a child with anybody guilty of murder to be totally honest.

First ask him whether the person he murdered will be able to have kids, whether he thinks that they had their right to marry and found a family violated.
And then burn him whatever his answer is.

well yes I agree. I suppose in that extremely unlikely situation, I'd want psychiatric examinations of the woman at the very least.
But hmm, I figure the rights of a kid to have the spectacular stigma of a total shitcunt for a father would have to be assessed to.

He's still serving his sentence isn't he?
He shouldn't be allowed to start a family until he's released imo.
And seeing as he didn't know this woman before he was jailed, isn't it rather immoral to aid them to conceive before they've seen if they can get on as a couple?
He shouldn't have been allowed to marry while in prison imo.
| well if they knew each other well enough to get married then I dont think there are concerns over compatibility. </BLOCKQUOTE>
But that's partially my last point - he was in prison when he met her - he was in prison when he married her - he's in prison now. He's never lived with her!
I think it's wrong that he should even have been allowed to marry while he's serving his sentence.
