Paul you are such a space-geek I thought I loved space, but you put me to shame.
Have you been to the Kennedy Space Center?

I know
Nope never been, would love to go tho. Would love to see a launch, how easy is to get to one? Do you just turn up or need tickets or what </BLOCKQUOTE>
I went when I was 17, we left about three days before a launch so never got to see one
Dunno about the tickets, you prbably do actually. I know they were saying that at the viewing areas when the sound hits you everything shakes. It sounds immense.
The whole place is amazing though, definitely worth going if you ever get the chance, though I probably don't need to tell you that
I have a Kennedy Space Center polo shirt
The Cold war was fffffb for space exploration. I have an encyclopedia from 86 basically saying they expected the russians to land a man on mars by the end of the century. no chance of that now any time soon.
