I think Cowell is trying to push her in the US as he was trying to get her on American Idol, although I'm not sure if he succeeded or not
he's desperate for one of the UK ones to get an international career like the first American Idol has

They take this a lot more seriously in America though, plus they haven't changed the format to include old dears and pub singers.
Assume they changed it here because of Cowell wanting his own show right? Or did we just run out of young talent and have the same people on each year?
