I've alerted my parents that I would like a DS and either Mario Kart or Advance Wars.
My inclusion of the word "or" was their hint to surprise me and get me both. It'd better work. |

animal crossing on gc was awesome, and according to reports is just as good if not better on the ds, so imo it is a must have.

I got Animal Crossing this week. I haven't played it yet, but the missus seems fair taken with it.

animal crossing is very love or hate. there's no real goals or objectives and the game is mostly built around performing chores.
i haven;t played the ds version but the cube one is good, ds version should be better as the 'play for 10 minutes a day' gameplay is much better suited to a portable system.
tony hawk is really great fun, and has excellent online features - online scoreboards are really addictive. downloadable content too! reminds me of tony hawk's 2, which was the best one. it's the best western game on the system at the moment
advance wars is superb. but you might be better getting advance wars 1 on gba first. i wish i had.

Tony Hawks and Advance Wars are both great. Almost picked up Animal Crossing at lunchtime, but I've bought plenty for the DS already in the last two months and decided on Winning Eleven 6 for the GameCube instead \o/

| aye. combination of 3d + wifi kills the battery. i get about 3/4hrs i think out of it online between charges.
wheras an offline 2d game seems to go weeks between charges.
