Yes real crap with an average rating of 84%
So you only like games that they tell you are good? </BLOCKQUOTE>
No but as pretty much everywhere has given it a good rating its generally more likely to be good as for everywhere to give it a good rating lots of different people have to like it.
Most great games, like Mario Kart, never get old. I could happily play the original Mario Kart right now if my NES hadn't broken.
Nintendo have the right idea with Nintendogs and Animal Crossing, but they always, always, always underestimate their audience. Nintendo treat us as a bunch of big shallow kids (with the exception of one or two games like Zelda and Metroid). I'm sorry, but teaching a computerized dog to sit, and then be allowed to choose from 50 items for it to play with - that's not a game that's worth shelling out money for. It would be a fun free downloadable PC thing, but nothing more.
As a whole, the Playstation is better than the Gamecube, and the PSP is better than the DS.
The Gamecube and Playstation both have some incredible games (Zelda, Metroid, GTA, GT etc) as do the DS and PSP. But you cant help feel that Nintendo's latest efforts are all light weight.
The DS may not have the graphics that the PSP does. HOWEVER, it has the gamplay!
Mario Kart for example has nice graphics, sure Pro Evo and GTA may look a lot more impressive, but for me the gameplay isnt there. I get bored very easily by them. Mario Kart is plain, simple, easy on the eye and never loses its appeal.
The DS is something completely NEW and DIFFERENT. This is what Nintendo are about and fair play to them. They could just copy Sony and Microsoft but they dont. They are taking consoles to the next generation where as the other 2 are just carrying on, just adding a few "fancier" graphics.
Look, the Playstation and the Gamecube all have good and bad things. I choose to prefer the Playstation, though I have both. Yes Res 4 is better on the Gamecube, seeing as it was built with the Gamecube in mind.
The PSP and the DS are oth currently a BWM*. Neither have supplied any real reason to buy them. The DVD bit of the PSP is a joke, as you have to buy a new copy of any DVD you want to watch on it.
*Big Waste of Money
The DS on the other hand is weak and badly designed. The GBA port on it is terrible - it can't even handle the games properly. Play the same GBA game on a DS and a micro and look how much better the micro plays. The DS is big and clumsy, the PSP is sleek and 'sexy'.
The DS has lots of good ideas, but the games need to be much better than they are.
Though tbf to Microsoft they are at least revolutionising online gaming through their xbox live stuff. Sony just seem to be resting on their laurels thusfar.
