Soon as it said the pic was from the Mirror all credibilty was lost. But a few questions that instantly came to mind:
The "picture" of him. The guy who found it went straight to the papers instead on the police
And if it was an insurance scam, surely the insurance company would ask for their money back as soon as they realised he wasnt dead?

The person who discovered the photo on the website did go to the police first Paul. The mirror picked up on this and then they approached the guy in the photo who is from panama to ask him to comment on it.

The wif has admitted photo is genuine, and says her sons will hate her now, as she didn't tell them their dad was actually alive. They didnt plan this very well.

Yeah she's saying the photo is genuine but still claiming she thought he was dead when he went originally went missing. Not sure why there wasn't any follow up questions.
