bit strong that isnt it? more a healthy rivalry - despise seems more accurate for Inter/Milan or Lazio/Roma

Cobbler - from a neutrals point of view sure, but from a subjective view from the clubs its never gonna happen.
i always thought it was going to be either Anfield or New Anfield? </BLOCKQUOTE>

IT was referred to as Stanley Park when the discussions with the council were going on, but that might have been the council rather than us.

Personally I'd much rather Anfield(or New Anfield, as I imagine the new would end up getting dropped quite quickly)

no doubt we will have some stupid sponsorshipt hough

wtf? You're against a move to Kirkby mainly because of the practicalities yet the second most practical option after redeveloping Goodison, sharing with Liverpool, you're dismissing?

If you're that against sharing with the Anfield mob just share with Tranmere while you drag Goodison up from the 19th Century.

i'd agree with that, though I imagine its quite different in some parts of liverpool, especially between the more...intellectually challenged fans (cough rawk cough)

What has despising each other got to do with it? And if they have so much of their own identity and heritage, then that shouldn't really be threatened by the fact that the other team happens to play in the same stadium on alternative weekends.

I just don't feel I can trust the club to conduct this whole thing without making a huge mess of it for one reason or another. The whole decision whether the club moved to Kirkby or not wasn't as clear cut as they made out and there's alot of bad feeling and tensions now even at this early stage.
