It's really old, had it for about 3 years now.
My new bridge is on the way though, an S9600. See my posts earlier in the thread for a link. I can't wait!! Quote:

Thanks for the praise everyone, I'm really quite insecure about my photos. I do think they are a good start with a crap camera though and I think I can def give photography a good crack. I'll document how it goes in this thread!

and flickr is good imo, mine is here fwiw, large percentage are gig pictures. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I like your gig photos mate. Something I'd love to try. I go to about 3 gigs a week sometimes, so I think it would be brilliant to get some good shots.
Any tips?

| Yeah I've been very happy with it, which is why I've stuck with them for the new camera I've ordered.

| cheers! tbf with a point-and-shoot thing and not being a fancy git who can get on the other side of the barriers it really comes down to luck, like how close you get, how the lighting is, because sometimes you just get nothing even remotely decent.
i just tend to play with the settings a lot and try and work out what's best for the conditions, and then go for the "if i take loads then one must be good surely?" approach, although i'm trying to cut down again as i now spend a bit too much time taking pictures and not just enjoying the bloody gig in the first place.
would love to be a proper music/gig type photographer tbf, reckon it'd be awesome. and i'd quite like a shiny slr thingy. maybe one day.

We have the same dream.
Either gigs or football, but football seems a) too difficult to get a good shot and b) to competitive - all those blokes lined up along the pitch essencially looking for the same one shot!
tbf I live in the right place to get a bit of experience and give the gig thing a shot over the next few years!!

| That's the way to do it. I must have taken a thousand pictures at Sea World/Epcot, and probably put about 20 of them on my flickr page |

| fuji finepix f30. partially bought because i'd read reviews that said it was good in low light conditions making it good for gigs and stuff and partially because my mate has the model or two down and i liked it. does the job for me atm.
