If you have a problem with hunting, fair enough, but that's a totally different argument.
Not really a totally different argument when the discussion is whether or not weapons should be available to the general public. Hunting is one of the exceptions in this country. The argument is that loopholes should be closed. Hunting is a loophole, ergo it is relevant.

You turning veggie benk? Love my venison and such too much. Hunting also used as a way of controlling animal numbers at times, especially since we pesky humans saw fit to take over so much of their natural habitat.

I blame FM. He was probably 3-0 up at half time told his team not get complacent. They proceeded to conceed 4 and lose. 2 goals coming from the centre backs passing to the oppo strikers, 2 from from players not closing down and both his MC's getting sent off. So he grabbed a gun and shot some people in frustration. Makes sense to me.

if they are hunting for food its no more needless than your chicken.

should ban all weapons other than those designed/used for hunting and make people belong to some form of hunting club or federation before they can buy anything.

Surely in the 21st century we can find much more humane ways of controlling animal numbers than running around with nice big guns. if we can't then i would actually be incredibly worried for what our society has become.

no idea what you're on about. clearly when i mentioned 'neeedless killing', any form of hunting for food did not enter my thinking.

Maybe give the hunters some sort of directed radiation weaponry, so we can sterilize the bastards? Not quite sure how you expect to "control" animal numbers without killing them. Not such a problem here where the worst we have to worry about are badgers, foxes, deer, etc..... but they get things a little bigger over in Yanksville.

Also hearing alot of folks talking about the gunman's use of automatic weaponry., yet reporting he used an SKS rifle, which is in fact semi-auto, iirc.
