I think the ones who started the bigger argument are poosibly Spurs fans themselves, if you look

This has all come about because of your involvement in every single Spurs thread there has ever been ever. Not our fault you have the hump with your Spurs supporting friend. Must be getting close to you telling us about Sunderlands record in the 1890's.

So i am totally to blame for the way most Spurs fan treat me for comments i've made in the past? - they aren't responsible for the comments themselves?

What should Spurs do. Who should they buy. Who should start.

I personally think we should sell Taricco. He's good but I think Thatcher is a better left back. We should try and buy another versatile forward. also i dont like this talk of Carr leaving. If this happens which it wont then maybe we should buy Finnan.
Also i hope that Hoddle wouldnt be stupid enough to sell Simon Davies. He is the greatest prospect spurs have had in a long time.

Hmm.. None that I can count.

I'm sorry its just i'm always held accountable and all i did was make comments about Carr leaving. I didn't even react to comments aimed towards me till more than a few people had said something. I did try to keep it on track by replying to a comment about Stephen Wright and how Phillips would be available for less - which just seemed to make more comments come in my direction :-/

quote:
Yeah, Spurs have had some hideous bad spells - as a Gooner I remember them well! I mean, at one point there were even Spurs jokes circulating, and in the Newspapers too (this was before the internet)!!!

Indeed, and this is why I get the dead needle when people (mainly Necastle and Sunderland fans on here) go on about how supposedly biased towards us the media is. We were the absolute laughing stock for at least a couple of years, and I reckon elements of it still exist. Headlines such as "I know it's only Spurs, but let's not get complacent" on the day of our relegation battle with Barnsley in '99, and one of the hacks on 'Hold The Back Page' saying "I need this like Tottenham need a trophy cabinet" live in the memory. Different debate, but I can sniff moaning inspiration ot at 50 paces!

The whole 'the media is biased towards the London clubs' is and always has been a load of crap.

No i think you'll find that about 3 people had 'went off on one' before i even reacted, when i did i just mentioned the Bradford stat as its the only time i've took any real notice of Spurs attendances.

Like i say i'm not bothered and the initial comment was made in fun - i took comments back too without even replying about Spurs attendances or anything of the sort - i'll reiterate it was not me who brought it up, but i'm the one getting the blame, thats why i'm p*ssed off.

I agree. That's a chip-on-the-shoulder reaction that is tiresome. The media picks on easy targets wherever they are from.
