There's a lot on the market at the moment so I can't see us going empty-handed. I'm sure the board have learnt a bit about football dealing and am confident they will get us the best deal possilble and I'm sure Glenn has learn't where to set his sights and to have a number of options.

I'll take two strikers and a top anchorman. The anchorman role has to be a priority. We didn't struggle scoring goals but struggled conceding them. With two strikers, a top anchorman (not Bunj, Toda etc) and more consistency at the back we can really go places.

you know what.. suddenly i would love to see Makelele playing for us.. that would be sooooooo good!! and maybe have Batistuta for a short term (but the english fans might try to kill him lol)

Batistuta sounds good, although i hate his guts I think if we signed Batistuta, they would say it was for the short term, but he'd end up staying for 2 or 3 seasons like Sheringham and Poyet.
And wouldn't Makalele rather go to Man Yoo. I think Matyy Holland is a more realistic target, or maybe Carrick

And Batistuta has been awful this season and even last, although he's (only) 33, and was undoubtably brilliant. He's slow as well.
