Boro bidding for kevin phillips (his asking price £4m) but boro is placing at bid of £1.5 that could rise to £3m.

I doubt phillipswill go since boro got 5 bloody strikers already..

Just heard that our bid for Phillips has not budged from 500k upfront. But there has been little contact between the clubs over the last few days.
Why this is, I can only guess: 1) We are pursueing other targets first. 2) Just been closed over the bank holiday weekend what with the wedding and all. 3) We are being stingy as ever and not willing to put up.

At £3m or so, Phillips has to be worth a pop. Especially if there is little in the way of alternatives. I'd rather have Phillips than be empty-handed.

A person who is a season ticket holder near me saw Qu Bo play in a friendly against QPR last season for Spurs and was less than impressed. He said he couldn't stay on his feet, and looked very weak.
