Tarrico has been good all season, why people wanna get rid of him i dont know, he provides an option for both right and left flanks. Also Toda is useless. Why the hell he is here i dont know. He was an absolute joke when we played Man City. He is constantly out of position, crap tackler, no pace, and his passing is at best 50-50.
I like Tarrico, he has filled in well for Zeige, but i can't see him keeping Zeige out when he is fit again. The only problem i ahve with him is that, for a left sided player, he hardly ever uses his left foot. He alwasys has to cut inside and take it on his right. You'd think that the coaching staff would make him hit 100 crosses a day with his left foot, or something like that.
I haven't seen Toda play to his full potential.. I remember he did excellent in the WC japan/korea.. His firey red hair gave him the mean character, hopefully he could near it to the likes of Roy Keane or Patrick Viera.. We need someone who are not afraid to challenge and hold the midfield.. I would be great seeing an eastern player doing that..
I think that soon we would be killing ourselves over left side players.. cos both Tarrico and Zeige ain't gettin no younger.. and with Etherington half staying half exiting.. we definately need some left sided players..
As for
quote:
posted by Keano: "You'd think that the coaching staff would make him hit 100 crosses a day with his left foot, or something like that."

I beleive that Doherty, although he sucks, is a good player to have in our squad because he is a versatile guy, and he will run his socks off.

Agreed he runs his socks off, and he is reasonably versatile but watching him play upfront this season in the injury crisis and derth of forwards (special note, against fulham when we lost 1-0 on that PK, he was offside probably a dozen times) it highlighted to me his lack of ability up top, and he ain;t gonna get much of a game at that back with king, richards, gardner, perry, etc......a good squad player probably, but i'd rather have a youngster with some potential filling in when needed, rather then that donkey

Anyone throw any names in the hat for the anchorman role? My vote goes for Cambiasso but may be a little optimistic.

Can Matty Holland play there. if so he's a good signing and cheap. If not, Bowyer, Carrick, someone like that.
I posted long time ago that Toda is sh1t when Spurs just signed him. He doesn't have any skill whatsoever. He's just think he's a hard man. He always got away with it while he play for Japan team(most of the time while they're playing in Japan) so may be he think it's ok in UK too.
He's just a one hit wonder in Japan, and actually he was popular "because" of his hair style than his skill(as I often seen on tv in japan.)

I can't pinpoint an exact situation to exemplify though, but that was the impression I got from 'ginger Japanese guy'... :/
Especially after the City game I'm more enclined to believe T - that he's here to sell shirts and get Spurs a share of the Asian market.
I didn't really notice Toda during the World Cup, I was more impressed by his midfield partner Suzuki, he had a great engine!!!! Ok appologies for that but I agree with T and erlando I think he is just here to sell a few shirts in Asia.
I have seen the last couple of Fulham home games against Newcastle and Everton (A load of my mates are season ticket holders) and I would like to see Sean Davis at Spurs, he has been quality and looked a class above everybody else, I thnkk he would fit in quite nicely with Davies and a fit again Redknapp!
Totally missed this thread. Too much time hanging around in CM4 General Questions.
We could do a damn sight worse than getting someone like Scott Parker from Charlton. He's been linked in the press again recently and is apparently a Spurs fan. He's young, can tackle, attack, pass, and most importantly has a bit of pace.
As for Toda, its really just to sell shirts in Asia. Just like Qu 'Kevin' Bo.
