Yeah, agree that we would have done much better if Deano had been around all season long. He's really the only "rock solid" defender we have at the moment.

How do you know that? I can. But can you imagine Wenger ever having bollocked any one of his players? Or Houllier? Or Ranieri? Hoddle isn't that bad. What could he have done yesterday? Put out his best team. Not scared to take of the oldies at half time. What more can we ask?
And don't say play Freund cos he is a phony who is injured. He had a great 6 months but then got injured. Blondel too has had lots of injuries and personal problems. Perhaps Acimovic deserves a game after his performances in the reserves, but if Hoddle played him he would get slaughtered. Slabber just isn't up to it I'm afraid, how many of you reckon he is more than a reserve player atm?

About Keller - agreed.
What is the use of bringing in the young guns? King, Gardener and Davies are streets ahead of any other young players but the first two show their inexperience consistently by making mistakes and Davies has been off-form. We just don't have any 'young-guns' bar Blondel who are ready.

This Summer is make or break for Hoddle AND the board. I personally think Hod has done okay in the transfer market considering what he has been given.
When he has spent money it has worked - Keane and Richards, even Ziege is a class act.
Reserve judgement until September.

"Glenn Hoddle will embark on a summer spending spree - if the tabloids are to be believed. The Tottenham manager aims to sign Aston Villa's Gareth Barry and Charlton's Scott Parker, according to the Sunday Mirror, wants Montpellier striker Fode Mansare (News of the World) and will replace Stephen Carr at right back with Ajax's Hatem Trabelsi.
On his way out, though, could be captain Teddy Sheringham, who is wanted by Valencia, if the News of the World are to be believed"
Taken from skysports.com
Now i wonder where we are going to the cash for all that....not to mention the influence or attractability....
And why would valencia want teddy????

That seems like complete bólloks to me, leading me to beleive that the rest of it is as well. Nice ideas, though they will never happen. |

Agree with that. If nothing is done about strengthening the squad come September, I think we can all expect a serious relegation skirmish next year. Sadly, I envision maybe only 1 first XI player coming in, if any; we'll probably end up getting a few free agents too, who'll probably end up as bench fodder
Personally, however, I still have my apprehensions about Hods' man-management and motivational abilities. Hopefully, I'll be proved wrong.
