Ta, it truly surprised me how bad Sunderlands attendances are, in comparison to the size of their stadium- if you believed the hype you'd think they sold out every other game.

Err its only been gaems this season when we haven't sold out. When your club has had to go through the pathetic displays, home defeats, lack of any entertainment (is it 4/5 home wins in a year now) and a spell of poor form that has lasted over 2 years, see how many fans you get *cough* George Graham era *cough*
but your such a big club your attendances would never drop under 30,000 would it?
I'd post a league table but no doubt there would be some counter-argument dreamt up by some people

Spurs are as susceptible to crowd drops as anyone. There are very few clubs who can sustain big crowds through a Sunderland-like run of form. Arsenal and Spurs would both see gates fall if they went through that IMHO. Its difficult to tell because the gates in the Premiership have increased generally, and thats coincided with the Wenger revolution...

Yeah... me probably!
Viduka for 4-5m? and hes quick now is he? yeah, when hes chasing the pie man maybe.
Phillips with decent service would be a FAR better goalscorer than Viduka.

I agree. Phillips is a tireless worker, he's got good control, a powerful shot and he's very good at running off the ball. At the moment the guy is starved of service. I would happily see Phillips in an Arsenal shirt... but Viduka? Nah... not that he could actually fit in an Arsenal shirt!
Viduka is better than Phillips. Viduka would never get starved of service no matter what team he plays for and if he partnered Keane upfront then the defense would know what to do

Just games this season? Well doesnt that prove how fairweather Sunderland fans are- surely they'd be cheering your lot on and helping Sunderland avoid relegation if they we're such great supporters?
We always tend to fill 95% of the ground as well- even under Christian Gross and even with the club charging £80 for some seats, the only games with sub 30,000 attendances tend to be Worthington Cup games against lower league opponents.
For example this season for non-glam games:
Bolton: 35,500
SCBC: 35,500
Villa: 35,000
West Brom 35,958
Its also worth noting that the club allocated 25% of our total attendance to non-season ticket holders- these sell out without fail, its season ticket holders who are the odd thousand who dont make games at times.
But regardless of this 37,000 really is a pathetic turnout for a game against Liverpool.........

You aren't being remotely fair here at all. May I remind you that in the mid 80's when both Arsenal and Spurs were very stagnant sides - the average attendances dropped to around 28,000 for Arsenal and 24,000 for Spurs. Sure, things have changed since then in terms of gates in general, but I think your holier-than-thou attitude towards Sunderland supporters is bang out of order.
If you think that Spurs fans are all loyal and would watch their team play like Sunderland have in droves, then you are fooling yourself. I'm not going to be lulled into sl@gging off Spurs fans but I'm sorry if you think they are generally more loyal than Sunderland fans I believe you are sadly mistaken.
And yes, I believe Arsenal's gates would also suffer - but I'm not trying to claim our fans are superior to anyone else's am I?
