I'm pretty sure there are only 3 UEFA spots, meaning we'd have to finish 6th. We would have to win all our games and hope Everton lose 2 of their last three.

I'd say keep Hoddle for a few seasons yet unless yhings get worse. He's slowly getting rid of the dross and trimming our wage bill. It took Ferguson along time to turn Man U into a force. We need stability and none of our recent managers have done anything so changing managers again probably won't change anything. Looking forward to see who we sigh in the summer and no doubt I'll have a few rants about Hoddle in the future but I'm happy to have him.

keep Hodd for a coupla more seasons..!

And here is the run in for the 6th spot for uefa place:

Tottenham vs Man U
Middlesboro vs Tottenham
Tottenham vs Blackburn

---------------------------

Everton vs Aston Villa
Fulham vs Everton
Everton vs Man U

---------------------------

Leeds vs Blackburn
Blackburn vs West Brom
Tottenham vs Blackburn

---------------------------

Charlton vs Southampton
Southampton vs Bolton
Arsenal vs Southampton
Man City vs Southampton

As you can analyse.. Soton have just as equal chance to grab that 6th spot as any of these teams.. I think the most crucial is that we beat Man U this Sunday, grab a point at Boro and MASH UP Rovers in the last game.. then finger cross that Everton loose all... then we may celebrate!!

Two strikers, one defensive midfielder, an experienced defender, a left wing back to cover or replace Ziege and possibly a new attacking midfielder.

Morientes
Zamora
Defoe
Rivaldo
Stam
Scott Parker
Joe Cole
Bridge

Wouldn't mind a few of them.

err say what?

in reply to drunkrob... doubt we'll get Morientes, Rivaldo (man might write another apology letter like last time lol) and not Stam either..

Bridge and Joe Cole is a good prospect.. I think that we should snap up Kevin Philips while we at it..

The says it all in regards to those players. Phillips wouldn't be bad but would depend on the price. A new keeper might not be such a bad idea.

I reckon Joe Cole would be a good buy no matter what the price. Would add more flair to a midfield that lacks so much of it. Also a new defedner wouldnt be a bad idea. After all if hoddle goes back to his 352 system then Ziege would beon the left and would you really want Tarricco in a back three
