Alpay? a defender.

Richards, King, Gardner, Bunjevcevic > Alpay

Unless of course he's a back up defender instead of Perry.

I'd rather have Dion Dublin from Villa.

Has anyone actually heard anything about a striker for Spurs (apart from Rickets or Morientes). How about Batistuta or Fowler?

i just read that Ferdinand is going to West ham and Rebrov probaly wont go to fulham.
Maybe we should try Slabber upfront.
Also read that we have bought Scott Thyer. A 15 midfielder who apparently is wales answer to wayne rooney and also this guy form Arsenal who has played at u17 level for england

Hmm, not what i really wanted to see. For all he's way past his best, he still has a physical prescence, is useful in the air and will get chances at West Ham - not good.

we've probably got the biggest midfield in the premiership, we dont need any more. if we get that sack of tit rickets i'll be angry, but not as angry as if we spent the money on another midfielder.

IMO we need a striker of the target man type, but with an allround game. He needs to be able to do more than jump (Iversen), as to contribute to the passing game and setting up other players. -that is if we deceide to keep Robbie as the spearhead.

Alternativly, if we try in Keano in the Sheringham role (though I'm not convinced he's suited for it) we need an out-and-out goalscorer. Still I want aerial ability though, because apart from Richards Spurs have no players who can dominate in the air.

I have different feelings of Les going to West Ham. Still think he could have done a better job than Steffen, at least for the rest of the season. But on the other hand, if this sale + a possible Rebrov sale will see us sign a great striker, then it's ok.

I read somewhere that Batigols agent claimed that he is coming to London next season. And with Les at West Ham, we should try to sign him!

Is this Clabber guy any good?

I've said it before, but from watching Keane in an Ireland shirt, he never has and never will play well with a target man consistently. He's perfect for the Sherringham role, as in in the hole, he just plays it differently to Sherringham. He needs a out and out goal scorer beside him and if Spurs land one they will have a lethal combination.
