Most expensive purchase was my Gibson SG '61 Reissue (Sapphire Blue) - £850 including postage and insurance.

re food shopping: shopping for some things online is great. but I found with tesco that they rounded everything up. instead of £1s worth of loose bananas it was £1.30 etc. doesn't sound a lot, when when they do that for almost every item they can. the worst one was when I ordered £12 worth of steak and they sent me £16. If I had wanted £16 worth of steak, then I would have selected £16 worth of steak.

They managed to add a good £30-40 on the shop.

but it's great for other things like tins, packets of stuff and alcohol.

Spent about a grand on a holiday, does that count?

Other than that, my biggest purchase is about £100 for computer parts. Will break that when I buy an Xbox 360 in the next couple of days though.

My biggest purchase would be a £600 tv a couple of months ago.

Have regularly bought gizmos costing circa £200...They do keep developing gremlins though.
