| With a majority of wireless 802.11g pci cards you need to install the drivers first before installing the card. Very important you do that.

A wireless access point (WAP or AP) is a device that "connects" wireless communication devices together to create a wireless network. The WAP is usually connected to a wired network, and can relay data between devices on each side. Many WAPs can be connected together to create a larger network that allows "roaming".
| If you get an adsl wireless router then that router will have these built-in:
* an ADSL modem;
* Wireless-G Access Point (that is also compatible with Wireless-B devices, at 11Mbps); and
* 4-port 10/100 Ethernet Switch

Will I have to create a new network going to control panel then clicking set up home or small office network under network and internet connections? Then, if i get a pci card installed in my other PC, do i just search for network connections or install the router?
Or, when I install the router are all thse instructions included in it?

Oh, and if I do create a network, does 1 pc have to be the server, which kind of controlles the whole network, then just add the other PC's to the network as clients? What happens on the client PC's when they have connected to the network?

| You only need to run the windows network wizard if you want all the computers on your network to be able to share files between each and be abale share a printer that might be connected to one pc.

| No. if one pc acted as a server then it would have to be on all the time and i doubt you need one of your home pc's acting as a server (or do you?).
The router will handle pc connections to the network. once pc's are connected to network they can be used to access the internet and if you have run the network wizard then they will be able to see each other on the network allowing for files to be shared between them.

| once the pc's are connected to the router whether it be wirelessly or directly via ethernet cable then you have a network. Like a said before if you want the pc's to see each other on the network and communicate with each then you just run the windows network wizard.
