No, Im just pointing out. Draytek gear is more advanced, VoIP, VPN specialists et cetera.
Linksys/Cisco are my 2nd fave for home networks.

If i gor for a £50 linksys router, what are the chances of me needing to upgrade routers in a few months time or with it failing on me?

I get and configure £3,000+ Cisco routers, and they have a end of service life of 2 years.
Consider yourself lucky |

ok,, my point is though, is there any major difference between a £50 router and a £150 router? My connection at the moment will be 512k a maximum of 2mb, so I take it the speed of my router won't have to be 'amazing'. Also, if the higher priced routers have further disatcne span to connect to then that is also not really a major factor for me. Basically, what will i be missing out on if I go for a cheper router?

The difference is how good they are in terms of compatability. They will all "offer" any adsl speeds that a provider will offer. The difference is to how stable their network will be

As for the router have a look at maybe Netgear and then maybe have a look at this wireless card (x2).

What makes do the most stable routers then? Linksys, eve for £50? I have seen some Belkin ones for around £60 that look decent, better than linksys or not? Plus, what is a dsl router, is it a wired one, I have got adsl broadband so will need adsl router but am just curious.
