ok, I have a feeling my modem is pish
Los Roji said on p.1 to connect modem to router and then PC to router - but there's no physical way to connect the modem to the router, the only 2 cables it has are 1 x USB into PC and 1 phone connector
Am I missing something here? (yes, obv)

ok, figured it, our adsl modem is the crappy speedtouch one that came with the pipex package, it is single-user and has no ethernet port.
So I'm guessing we need an adsl modem with an ethernet port and an ethernet cable before setting this mofo up
HELP ME SHEEBA

hahaha, you have a stingray, perhaps the worst modem ever
A simple dlink/draytek/linksys router , I recommend a draytek vigor modem-router if only because they are completely rock solid these days, Linksys are next up because Cisco have taken them over.
Wifi everything.

Ive just read Page 2 of this thread and given up all hope of humanity tbh.
I recommend stuff and people dont take that onboard, even after 15+ posts/replies.

Yeh a decent router but a crappy modem.
Linksys tend to separate their routers and modems, not many combined models.
Get a linksys dsl modem to couple with it |
