For me?
£50-60
I want the following from the router
1) a good brand name, linksys/cisco, draytek, dlink, 3com, netgear, Intel.
2) a good range, ideally with the ability to add "expanders" or repeaters as us techies call them. Only Linksys/Cisco offer this to my knowldge
3) Easy setup, this would limit me to the above and even then Id remove Dlink from it because of their necessary firmware flash upgrades
4) Compatabilty - you should be looking for at least 11 and 54mb/s compatability. Bear in mind that your internet connection will never ever go beyond 11mb so even the basic wifi is fine.
5) Stability, a router stability is a core requiremnet, else you'll be powering it off every day. The case Ive just mentioned I could have resolved in 10 mins with a draytek router for an extra £90. But they didnt want that so theyve just paid me an extra £110 for 2 hours work to get 3 of 5 laptops talking to it.
