Wireless Internet Connection?

No. if one pc acted as a server then it would have to be on all the time and i doubt you need one of your home pc's acting as a server (or do you?).

The router will handle pc connections to the network. once pc's are connected to network they can be used to access the internet and if you have run the network wizard then they will be able to see each other on the network allowing for files to be shared between them. </BLOCKQUOTE> </BLOCKQUOTE>

So, if all I want to do is share my internet connection between 3 pc's using a router, is install a pci 802.11g card and an wireless adsl g router, and then connect to the internet on each PC's using the modem router? Not having to create a network or anything?

If you wanna share your internet connection:

*Get ADSL wireless router (modem is built-in);

*Get 2 wireless pci cards to install on two of the pc's. You can get 3 wireless pci cards if you want but i wouldn't recommend that as i've said before if wireless connection goes down then you can't access the routers settings;

*Connect 1 pc to router via ethernet cable and the other 2 wirelessly.

Once you have have played about with the router settings and enetered your ISP connection details then all your 3 pc's should be able to now share internet connection.

The routers user guide will tell you what to do and how to set things up.

Dont even think of creating a server/client network if you dont know what youre doing.

Seriously, one wifi router and the pc's with wifi cards.

Anyone help me with my problem?

The main computer that is conected to the router and all that is perfectly working fine and bombs on the net but my laptop using the network card only goes really slow if working at all yet the icon ses it shud be at full speed. Anyone help me?
