Underwhelmed by that list hugely to be honest, but am not finding hip-hop very interesting at the moment- a couple of notable exceptions aside.

Been listening to Kweli's Blacksmith tape- the collaborations with Madlib are really interesting so I look forward to that one.

Yes and No, I have the Tru3 Magic Album which dropped December but it was not offical. Basically Mos Def and his people didnt want it to drop cos it was end of the year, no buzz and sales wouldnt ahve been that good at that time etc etc but the label dropped it since it could not hold on to it and release it next year. By this time it was shipped to stores it so it was too late. By Mos Def said he will add new tracks to the album and re-release it in April with new cover but still entitled Tru3 Magic.

Kinda like Lupes Fisaco situation.

List is not complete I assure you that. I heard D12 is dropping too, but wasnt sure enough to put it on the list. As with Ja Rule.

There is conflict between Mos Def camp and his label Geffen. Geffen is pulling the carpet under Mos Def so they releasing his album quickly so his contract will be done. But Mos wasnt ready for the release so they basically schduled it for April 2006. Mos will eventually go Indie.
