Default Is AOL still rubbish?

Exactly what it says on the tin.

I'm switching ISP soon and looking at AOL, mainly for the free laptop offer they're running. Only thing is I remember hearing people having problems with them a while ago.

Don't reckon the 40gb limit will be too much of a problem, don't really know how much i dl a month but I don't reckon it's close to that.

Cheers in advance to the OTF knowledge base.

I'm amazed companies that use download limits still survive. Thank God for AOL that Time Warner own them and half of America's major companies have shares with them.

AOL are fine with me

I've not had any notification about download limits since the 3 years we have been with them.

They are ok, a lot better than they were. Now and then speeds will drop and I will have trouble connecting but that is rare, used to be almost daily a year or so ago.

Think it's a new thing, guessing it won't affect current users.

That could very well be true. Haven't looked into them for years now. They seemed to be very hot at the end of the 90's but then had an abortion and nosedived in the European market.

Hoping they are good cause it's a 24 month contract .

Seeing as there seem to be a lack of horror stories, looks likely I will go with them for the laptop, can't be any worse than Orange have been lately! Cheers for your help guys.
