Argentina striker Carlos Tevez admits there is a strong possibility he will move to Serie A champions Internazionale for next season.
In a season marred by controversy over the legality of the West Ham star's transfer, the 23-year-old ended on a high by scoring crucial goals to preserve the Hammers' top-flight status, while in the process attracting the attention of a host of elite clubs.
"Inter is a great club," Tevez told Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport. "There is a true possibility that I will wear the Nerazzurri colours next season."
Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for Tevez, but the South American favours a switch to Italy.
He added: "It's also true that Real Madrid are interested in my services but my agent knows exactly how I feel about it - better Inter than Real."
Speculation that Tevez would leave West Ham increased after he preserved the club's Premiership status by hitting the winning goal against Manchester United on the final day of last term.
And the player admits that his fine end-of-season form came as no surprise, revealing that he immediately felt at home in the claret and blue shirt.
"I didn't have problems adapting at West Ham," Tevez continued. "I didn't speak English but nevertheless I made myself understood on the pitch."
Despite his claim that the language barrier did not hamper his start to life in England, Tevez admits playing alongside compatriots Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz and Javier Zanetti at the San Siro would make for a smooth transition to life in Serie A.
"Inter's team is like an Argentina colony," he added. "I wouldn't have language issues at Inter."

All geared up for the thursday 28th unveiling of the new stadium along with Torres, Tevez, Mancini, Malouda and Milito.
Alternatively we've decided to groundshare and signed Stelios on loan.

This transfer window reminds me of the last one, big hype over the players we were linked with big let down with who we got.
Thought the manager said he bringing in players the week after the champions league final because we were not good enough to compete wit hthe likes of Milan.
Last week he said we would hopefully get someone in before the players are back in for training which is thursday but that also looks doubtfull |

That was just heat of the moment talk. He's now realised the squad is good enough and with the addition of the Cisse-Nemeth strike partnership will go on to win the treble.

Nah the Tevez ship has sailed tbh - he will go to Inter I reckon.
Wish they would tie this Torres deal up and be done with it. We play our first pre season friendly around 7th July ffs - as good as Lucas and the Puskas twins may be, they wont win us the bastard league on their own |
