No chance.

He didn't actually say big money, he said he could sign two top players for £12m(not as big money as some fans think we have) that day but the club were stalling as always.

We're hoping some deals have been tied up and will be announced once the Spanish season finishes.

When was the last time that ever happened?! The thought that we'd spend the sort of money as United did is incredulous even given the knowledge of new backers, it's not going to be anything else other than a staid, nondescript summer again punctuated by signings who do anything but inspire.

Possibly. I think the overal problem is that we reek of desperation in the transfer market and the men who negioate our transfers (Parry and pals) are stil labouring under the delusion that Liverpool is the club that every player in the world wants to play for. In the modern game, I don't think any club can make that statement.

All this leads to us either being priced out by the club or insulting the players with unrealistic contracts.
