I guess rafa is reluctant to let go of a perfectly good slave. trying to get in a couple more shoe shines and the like. i suspect the search for the replacement is what is holding up any transfer activity.

think the opening fixtures are pretty kind tbh. hopefully get a good start to the season for the first time under benitez.
league got to be the all out priority this season.

Unless Parry shocks the living hell out of me and actually negiotates a good deal for a world class striker + others, I still don't see us mounting any kind of serious challenge. I'm still sticking with my "Top 4 and QF of the Champions League" will be a good season for us until I see some serious transfer activity.
