Really love Help She Can't Swim one of my favourite albums actually! Good find considering i only bought it cause i liked their name and album artwork! Never seen them but really want too. 65 DoS are well good as well, i'd really want to see their drummer more than anything to see if he's as amazing live as he sounds on the record

I've not seen 65 DoS yet, but really want to.
I love Youthmovies Soundtrack Strategies  Saw them support Biffy at the Barfly in Camden. Opening were Three Children of Fortune, who are also superb.
Help she can't swim, played the local venue (100 people max) quite a lot, but I never caught them for one reason on another.

Going to see Boy Least Likely To on Thursday and The Decemberists next month but in the back of my mind thinking about this stuff I STILL can't get over my idiocy at turning down Sufjan tickets | Ahh you fool, Sufjan was brilliant when I saw him a couple of weeks ago, one of my favourite shows this year. I always enjoyed his stuff before but seing it live, it all seemed a hunderd times better. I loved band's uniform and the cheers between the songs too, really added a special atmosphere to the gig. It was quite funny when they were doing the cheer before Jacksonville and Sufjan was going "Give me a J... Give me an A... etc" and when he went "What does it spell" some drunk in the crowd yelled out "CELTIC!" Gave us all a good laugh anyhow
I was slightly disappointed at the lack of older material, but I suppose this is the Illinois tour and he did play To Be Alone With You so that was enough to keep me happy.

Decemberists in Glasgow's the only one on my calendar at the moment. Can't wait. Will hopefully get to a couple more before the New Year.

Dream Theater were good last night, but I have to say I was a little disappointed, they're too professional with not enough character live. Guess I'm comparing it ttoo much to Spock's Beard last week which was incredible. Too big a venue to have any interaction with the band.
Was a great gig anyway, going to see Greg Lake on Saturday and maybe book tickets for a Christmas show with prog-band IQ for December 10th.
