Tony, MD were great last night, it should be brilliant. I think they're filming for some sort of DVD at that gig as well, but I might be wrong on that one.

look i will shock many of you by partially agreeing with sebs in a musical opinion kind of way? the long blondes were pretty good actually when i saw them supporting the malkmus. whilst not necessarily the best thing i've ever seen they were in that elite bunch of bands that have supported someone and i've found them to be good based solely on their live set (see also: tom vek and...erm...that's it i think). nice cool kids, nice girls to look at, probably better when the sound isn't slightly on the high side so you have no idea what she's singing, and although the drummer kinda looked, and the music was good. so yeah, if they come to perform at your local live music establishment you could do a lot worse.

malkmus was teh greats, differing opinions from my select posse at the gig, one loves pavement, doesn't know his solo stuff and found it all quite dull (and smugly bumped into him before and got a photo before mocking his performance), but one friend loved it having been a malkmus/pavement virgin beforehand. plus he was a lot more talkative than i thought, quite funny and stuff. 8/10 steve mate.

31/10 - bearsuit at 93 feet east for teh launch party for their new (but frankly mildly disappointingly un-new) album, plus possible halloween related madcappery
